Hasanparthy (Warangal): Bharatiya Janata Party state president G Kishan Reddy was given a rousing welcome at Ananthsagar village in Warangal district on Thursday. He arrived here after finishing the BJP Telangana Poru Yatra in Karimnagar district.
A massive rally was taken out from Ananthsagar to Hasanparthy by the activists of BJP, Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, and various Telangana outfits prior to a public meeting.
Addressing an impressive gathering, Kishan Reddy said, “The people in the region were deceived in 1956 by Nehru, later in 1971 by Indira Gandhi and now by Sonia Gandhi,” he alleged and appealed to the people of the region to join hands with the BJP to fight for the state of Telangana until the demand was fulfilled.
The BJP Poru Yatra was a warning to anti-Telangana forces like the Telugu Desam Party and Congress, state and central governments run by the latter that they could not exploit the people in the region for their selfish ends, aasserted the BJP leader.
