Telangana IT and Industries Minister Mr KT Rama Rao inaugurated seven factories at the medical devices park at sultanpur on city outskirts today.
He said he was very happy to inaugurate factories belonging to Promea therapeutics, Huwel life sciences, Akriti oculoplasty, Arkansas engineers, SVP technology engineers, Elvikon and Rees Medlife.
They are all engaged in in-vitro diagnostics,point of care devices and analyzers, ocular implants, surgical and dental implants among others.
Mr Rama Rao hoped that the medical devices industry in Telangana would be worth 100 billion dollars by 2030.
He said the expansion of the sector would bring in more jobs and development to the state.
The minister hoped more industries would come to Telangana soon as the state government introduced industry friendly policies.
Mr Rama Rao said he was happy to be part of the event at the medical devices park which he launched four years ago.
