The TRS party senior leader and MLC Ms K Kavitha denied allegations against her by the BJP leaders about her involvement in a liquor scandal in New Delhi.
She said they were baseless and they remain baseless. She would cooperate with any investigating agency that the Central government ordered and said they were aimed at weakening the chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao who has been vocal against the BJP government.
“During the separate Telangana movement, we have seen several such conspiracies against Mr KCR and attempts to harm him. But we never went back and even now we stand by the same nerve,” she said.
Unfortunately, the politics in the country came to such a pause that one party is trying to decimate the other political parties. It is not good for democracy.
The BJP is ruling the country and it has all agencies at its command. Let them investigate the scandal and bring out the truth and people behind the so-called scandal, she said.
The two BJP leaders of New Delhi on Sunday leveled allegations against Delhi deputy chief minister Mr Manish Sisodia, Ms Kavitha, and other leaders belonging to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They alleged that Ms Kavitha gave kickbacks to Mr Sisodia and also gave huge sums to revive the defunct brewery in Punjab.
Since last afternoon, a section of electronic media has been replaying the press meeting of BJP leaders. It was aimed at tarnishing the image of people in public life without varying the actual facts.
