The country in the throes of civil unrest urgently needs a leader like Telangana Chief Minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao. He has proved himself and earned a name as a good agitator and administrator, said TRS working president Mr K T Rama Rao.
He was moving a resolution and supporting that the TRS party should play a key role in national politics in view of the prevailing political situation.
“If Mr NT Rama Rao created history, it is Mr KTR who created geography too,” he said amid cheering delegates who attended in large numbers at the plenary meeting.
He observed that if the fledgling Telangana state could make excellent progress that is praised all over, the BJP government at centre failed people on all counts. The BJP misrule and the way it mishandled the economy only burdened people which cannot be said in words. The unemployment rate is high for 45 years, the cooking gas cylinder rate is the highest in the world, and people are still denied power and water across the country.
Mr KTR pointed out that by ignoring what people needed, the BJP indulged in creating unrest by dividing people in the name of caste and religion. Whenever there are elections anywhere, they stoke differences taking the name of Pakistan or something for their political mileage.
“The BJP has proved dangerous to the country and people. Hence, a demand for an alternate force and a new leader, a torchbearer like Mr KCR plays a key role in unseating it,” Mr KTR said as part of the resolution passed by the party.
There was already a demand for the TRS to enter into national politics and mobilise all the forces against BJP to form an anti-BJP front in the country.
