Thousands of Telanganites marched behind the body of martyr Bhojya Nayak and swore that they would not rest until Telangana state is realized. A complete shut down was observed in Warangal district as a mark of respect to Bhojya. Scores of Telangana people and leaders from TRS and BJP paid their last respects to the fallen hero.
Bhojya Nayak’s body was placed at Martyrs Memorial for some time before being taken to his native village. His family completed the last rites at their tribal hamlet Veerareddypalli thanda.
Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. Kodandaram, who paid his tributes to the martyr, appealed to Telangana youth not to resort to such extreme steps. He said that Telangana can be realized only with sustained public movement.

TRS MLAs Harish Rao, Eetela Rajender, Vinay Bhaskar, Kaveti Sammayya, Dr. Rajaiah, Jupalli Krishna Rao, BJP state president Kishan Reddy, independent MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy, MLC Chukka Ramaiah and Kakatiya University VC Venkataratnam paid tributes to Bhojya Nayak.
Tense moments were witnessed when angry students pelted stones at houses of TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Congress MLAs Gandra Venkatramana Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah. Warangal Congress office and statues of Rajive Gandhi and NTR were also attacked by students.
