Telangana students grieving the suicide death of Kakatiya University student Bhojya Nayak hurled stones at several Congress and TDP leaders’ properties in Warangal today. Students participating in the funeral procession hurled stones at NTR statue at Police Head Quarters. They attacked the Rajiv Gandhi statue at MGM center too.
Some people hurled stones at Suprabha Hotel belonging to Telugu Desam MP Gundu Sudha Rani. Stones were pelted at Congress leaders B. Saraiah, Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
The District Congress office was also attacked by Telanganites. Several flexi-banners of Congress and TDP leaders were burnt by the students.
Police resorted to lathicharge several times to disperse the students. Several students and some media men were also injured in the police lathi-charge.
