The villages in the state witnessed phenomenal development since the TRS party took over in the past seven years, said IT and Municipal Administration Minister Mr K T Rama Rao.
Inaugurated double bedroom housing and Rythu Vedika at Jadcherla, he said under Palle Pragathi all the panchayats are getting funds from the state government. The sanitation, drinking water, greenery and burial grounds, drainage network have undergone sea change now. The Panchayats were given tractors, water tanker, nursery and several facilities.
Mr Rama Rao pointed out that in the past women used to trek long distances for drinking water. Now with the Mission Bagiratha the problem is solved.
Referring to the Union Budget, Mr KTR expressed his unhappiness over the budget. He faulted the central government that is trying to sell away the Public Sector Units. In his twitter message he sarcastically said the central government launched Becho India programme. The central government wants to raise RS 65,000 crore by selling away the health public sector units, the minister pointed out.
