One Mr Anuj Gurwara posted a message on Twitter comparing Hyderabad and Bangalore cities. He said he liked Bangalore and its weather is praised by one and all. But what is the use? One has to wait for three hours in traffic. There is no way to come out of the traffic snarl anywhere in Bangalore city.
But in Hyderabad, there goes a metro train, a fly-over on another way, and a wide road some other way. One can reach any point in Hyderabad from four sides within a short time.
When Mr Kiran Mazumdar, CMD of Biocon shared that Twitter message, it went viral.
Responding to it, one netizen said one could reach Bangalore airport from Hyderabad in 1.20 minutes but from Bangalore airport to electronic city or white field, it takes 2.50 minutes within the city. Over 1,000 netizens liked and re-tweeted the message.
It may be noted that the TRS government had come up with Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) and improved the road network in the city besides constructing numerous flyovers to ease the traffic. It is also planning to extend the metro network. The IT & Industries minister Mr K T Rama Rao who also holds the Municipal Administration portfolio is personally overseeing the SRDP works and reviewing the progress on regular basis.
During the last eight years of TRS ruling, Hyderabad city witnessed rapid development and has become the most sought-after place for individuals and companies.
The chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao during one of his press meets pointed out that many people from New Delhi and Mumbai were buying villas in Hyderabad as it has become the most friendly city.
