Kudos to Mission Bhagiratha, Tamilnadu engineers say.

A group of 25 engineers from the neighbouring Tamilnadu state is on a study tour to the Telangana.

They visited Komatibanda Mission Bhagiratha project in Gajwel mandal of Siddipet district. The water resources engineers studied the way the river Godavari waters were brought to the village and how water is being catered to households.

They inquired with the local officials how the water is served twice a day and how it is purified. They went around the huge water tank and how they are distributed to households.

The Tamilnadu engineer later said there was no such scheme that was implemented at a faster pace and distributed among villages and households in the country.

It may be noted that the Mission Bhagiratha, one of the flagship programmes launched by the chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao drew huge applaud from across the country.

This was not the first time the officials from a state visited Telangana to witness them and to contemplate replicating the same in their respective states.

None other than Prime Minister of India, Mr Modi himself copied the scheme in the name of Har Ghar Nal Se Jal yojana and many other programmes initiated and successfully implemented by the Telangana government.

Long before Mr KCR came to power, he toured all villages and found people lacking safe drinking water during his separate Telangana movement. Immediately assuming power, he came up with this innovative scheme and successfully implemented keeping up his another promise.
