TRS party working President KT Rama Rao today met a special guest who catered the former with Ice Gola (shave ice) during his school days, outside St. George’s Grammar School in Hyderabad.
It all began when Mohammed Mahboob Ali tweeted to TRS party working President KT Rama Rao a fortnight ago, requesting the latter to meet Chaush alias Syed Ali who has been selling Ice Gola outside St. George’s Grammar School, even today.
Mohammed Mahboob Ali in his tweet said, “Dear @KTRTRS Saab, Chaush(ice gola) of St. George’s Grammar School wants to meet you, Please make his wish a reality.”
In a reply to his tweet, KT Rama Rao said “Absolutely would love to meet him. Have some wonderful memories of Chaush.”
Today, Syed Ali (70) met KTR at Camp Office in Hyderabad. Taking a walk down memory lane, KTR recollected how thirty years ago he used to buy Ice Gola from Syed Ali outside St. George’s Grammar School, where he did his schooling.
During the interaction, KT Rama Rao enquired Syed about his health condition and asked what help can be done from his side. On learning about his poor financial condition, KTR assured him to provide a house and monthly old-age pension.
Syed Ali was very touched by the kind gesture of KTR. He said, “I have heard a lot about KTR and never thought I would be able to meet him.” He thanked KTR for assuring help in his old age.
