The Congress top brass is giving enough hints that they are finally going to give a green signal on the Telangana statehood issue. A meeting of Congress Working Committee and UPA allies is taking place tomorrow evening. Sources say that both these meetings are going to ratify the Telangana statehood demand.
Telangana people are only concerned about Congress party’s mind games about Rayala Telangana and the status of Hyderabad.
The CWC meeting is slated at about 5:30 PM tomorrow.
Several companies of Central paramilitary forces are being rushed to Seemandhra regions, to contain the fall out of a decision favoring Telangana.
In spite of clear indications that the Union government is about to announce Telangana state, there have been no major protests in Seemandhra region. Sporadic protests by school and college going kids were held in some towns of Seemandhra.
Almost all the political leaders from Seemandhra seem to have reconciled to the fact that Telangana is a fait accompli. While, they have bee threatening to do several things in front of media, their actions are not commensurate with their words.
Having experienced the massive back-stabbing of Seemandhra leaders on Dec 10th, 2009, Telangana people are only eagerly waiting for the day, the statehood bill is passed by both houses of Parliament.
