BJP government diluting Centre-State relations, CM Mr KCR

Urging youth to be cautious against the divisive forces in the country, Chief Minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao found fault with the Centre for usurping the powers of States.

Taking part in the 76th Indian independence day celebrations at historic Golconda Fort, he addressed the gathering after hoisting the national flag.

Mr Rao lamented that the BJP had been spreading misinformation against the non-BJP ruled states and their performance. The BJP government is focused on creating hatred among people to cover up its failures indeed.

There has been criticism against the Telangana government on borrowing loans. In fact, the State debt is Rs 1,49,873 lakh crore which was spent on developing infrastructure. The debt of Rs 75,577 crore was carried forward that belonged to 2014-2015 before the formation of a separate Telangana state.

The Central government was unilaterally taking decisions and imposing restrictions on the states from raising loans for development and welfare.

Telangana’s debt-GSDP ratio was 23.5 well within the FRBM limit. However, the Centre’s borrowed a huge sum that puts the ratio at 50.5 percent of the GDP.

However, false information is being spread against the Telangana government only to defame it.

Finding fault with the Central government, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao said the BJP-led government proved itself to be a power monger toppling the democratically elected governments in various states of the country.

To pursue its political agenda, the BJP is adopting nefarious ways such as dividing people in the name of caste and religion. India is known across the globe as the largest democracy and unity in diversity for decades.

However, now efforts are being made to disturb the social fabric of the country.

Unmindful of such tactics, the non-BJP ruled states like Telangana made rapid strides in development and welfare in the same eight-year rule, Mr Rao pointed out.

The youth should also be wary of such forces and protect the integrity of the country. The TRS on its part will always strive to preserve the unity and integrity of the country. “It is the responsibility of all citizens to keep alive the spirit of Ganga – Jamuna tehzeeb”, he said.
