The BJP state president Bandi Sanjay had to face embarrassing moments when he toured Nalgonda district today.
At several places farmers confronted him and demanded that the centre procure paddy in Telangana. Some miscreants in the crowds hurled eggs and stones at the BJP leaders.
At Chillepally near Suryapet, it turned violent as a large number of people tried to stop Sanjay’s convoy and hurled stones. The vehicle of Sanjay was damaged and police immediately rushed to the spot. The police prevailed over and dispersed the mob. They also sent the BJP leaders back to Hyderabad.
The BJP leaders accused TRS Cadre of creating trouble but the latter denied the allegation. The farmers are in distress and demand the Central government to buy paddy from Telangana farmers as is being done in Punjab state.
