Responding to the ongoing row over hijab in Karnataka, TRS senior leader and MLC K Kavitha said women are creators and they have the right to decision about their issues.
Women might wear burkha, sport vermilion on their foreheads, or cover their head with Saree as they have every right to do so. It is their personal right to decide what to wear and none have the right to dictate to them on such issues.
She penned a poem featuring how unity in diversity has been the hallmark of the country and how people from different walks of life and communities proudly declared themselves to be Indian on their own.
Mr Kavitha lamented at the ongoing row over hijab in Karnakata and lamented over the developments. She found fault with the people who were trying to create ruckus over the issue that was a non-issue for decades since independence.
She interacted with media persons to share her agony and also posted her poem and thoughts on social media that was hailed by one and all.
