Union minister Mr Kishan Reddy’s remarks put Telangana on boil.

Telangana MLAs, ministers and tribal leaders seriously condemned the remarks made by union minister G Kishan Reddy. He said that the centre has no intention of setting up a steel factory at Bayyaram as the iron ore was not of quality there.

Immediately there was furore across Telangana and scores of elected public representatives of TRS leaders condemned the statement. They contended that once again the true colors of BJP were exposed and its discrimination against Telangana state.

It is part of the bifurcation promises that centre has been neglecting to impliment. Earlier the centre denied a railway coach factory at Kazipet and the much promised tribal university also remained on paper still.

Minister Ms Satyavathi Rathod and MP M Kavitha said Bayyaram Steel Factory was the right of Telangana people. When the experts said there were iron ores reserves enough over 100 years and suitable for a steel factory, Mr Kishan Reddy lacked knowledge of the same.

Chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar, MLA A Ramesh  MLC Banda Prakash pointed out that way back in 1950s the iron ore from Khammam district were supplied to Steel factories elsewhere but now the BJP minister says it is upto the quality. It is shameful on the part of the BJP leader to say so.

Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said it is clear denial of bifurcation promises made to Telangana. What else would the BJP leaders do to Telangana, he sought to know. MLA Hari Priya Baik said it is nothing but disappointing and deprivation of tribals of their chances for jobs and development of Telangana.

First the BJP leaders denied the railway coach factory and now the steel factory. The BJP leaders act as per their bosses at New Delhi denying the Telangana people of their due in development but they want votes of people here and dream of coming to power in Telangana, the TRS leaders contend. Minister Mr Puvvada Ajay Kumar said the BJP government denied a single medical while sanctioning over 150 medical colleges to other states, he pointed out.
