TRS cadre in Munugode in an upbeat mood.

The ruling TRS party cadre in Munugode danced in gay abandon sporting pink flags to the beat of drums on Friday.

They asserted that their party would definitely clinch the seat in the ensuing by-election to the Munugode Assembly seat come what may.

The sitting Congress MLA K Rajagopal Reddy resigned to his seat as he decided to join the BJP. Hence the by-election was necessitated.

The district minister G Jagadish Reddy and other important leaders were planning to hold a massive public meeting in Munugode on August 20 and invite the party president and chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The party workers accused Mr Rajagopal Reddy of disowning the people for his selfish ends. They said he was hardly seen in the constituency and he even avoided the meetings meant for the distribution of Shadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi cheques.

The TRS party is braced up for the by-election with its own strategy. The party decided to appoint one person to each village and a group of people working under him. They will educate people about the various welfare and development programmes launched by the TRS party by going door-to-door.

On Thursday, important leaders of the party – Mr Jagadish Reddy, MLC T Ravinder Rao, Rythu Bandhu Samithi chairman P Rajeswar Reddy, and others held a meeting with the party

functionaries. They wanted the party workers to ensure the victory of the party as was done in Huzurnagar and Nagarjunasagar Assembly constituencies.
