The moment Delhi tries to move any pawns to resolve the T’angle of Telangana in favor of de-merger we see a hot flush of mushrooms and bleeding hearts poignantly pining for a Unified state on the basis of Telugu language.
One MP cries without tears in his eyes about the plight of Telugu Talli.
Another waxes eloquent about Telugu Jaati.
One student leader from AU shows his distress. A pseudo-intellectual and his coterie publish a book and recently get some writings on the wall in Hyderabad about Unity of the Telugu land.
And these lovers of the Telugu land conduct the World Telugu Mahasabha in Tirupati and find it convenient not to invite key contributors to Telugu literature from Telangana.
And one Buddha gets a Prasad of a position for the ‘official’ language of Telugu.
One Omega star starts a party for bringing Prajarajyam and once he gets a central minister’s position gets his party and his principles embedded and sold to the party that he vehemently opposed – all in the name of Mahatma Phule, Ambedkar and other luminaries.
Obviously the concept of Telugu Jaati and the Samaikya Andhra Pradesh are concepts based on a common language.
Theoretically it is the Telugu language, which is put up as the binding ‘glue’ between the people of Telangana, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra.
If so how much do they love Telugu?
Now for the twist in the tale.
Just a few months ago the TV artistes and technicians of a united AP ‘protested’ against the channels bringing and airing dubbing serials.
Interestingly none of these Telugu loving folks who are for the upliftment of Telugu and Telugu people found it deserving enough to protest.
Ms Rajkumari of the kiss fame, the every rabble rousing garbled talking, India tricolor toting businessman turned politician turned businessman Jagadapati did not find it a cause fit enough to fight.
Dubbed serials affect the livelihoods of AP artistes, writers, directors, technicians, light boys and many more who live on the TV industry in AP. Each serial if made in Andhra Pradesh supports 100 families. Today these channels are airing about a dozen dubbed serials robbing livelihoods of about 1200 families. The process of dubbing in totality may give livelihoods to about 100-200 families. In effect the act of airing dubbed serials directly takes away opportunities to 1000 families!
The communists who are Vishaalandhravaadis did not find it a fit cause to fight and talk about ‘bhaasha prayukta’ raasthram.
The Saakes, the TGs who love to give sound bites to all and sundry channels did not find it fit to fight.
The Parakala’s and Nalamotus did not utter a word as far as one can figure out. But do beat their breasts about Teluguness!
Can you imagine such a thing happening in Tamil Nadu? Or in the state of Karnataka? Late Raj kumar fought against other language films being dubbed in Kannada. His son took the cudgels against dubbed serials.
It would be interesting to see what our Omega Star’s role was?
And the Telugu pride party was obviously conspicuous with its absence.
How come? It’s economics stupid.
A cursory glance and a little investigation will tell who owns these channels. And what their motivations are!
One Maas TV is part owned by Omega Star, currently overseeing the improvement of the tourist industry in Delhi and part owned by one Greeku Veerudu whose family took some land in the name of building Telugu Film Industry in Hyderabad! This channel is bringing dubbed serials, which kick, in the ‘peth’ of the local Telugu TV industry. Leave alone the shame of ‘importing’ serials from other languages, especially Hindi.
Do these ‘desam’ mukkalaipotundi sloganeering blokes love Hindi? Nah! Check their Hindi – it sucks! And they ridiculed us in Hyderabad for speaking in Hindustani/Urdu! And blamed us that as Telugu people we in Hyderabad insult Telugu Talli by speaking in Hindustani/Urdu!
But Hindi serials at half the price of freshly minted Telugu serials are OK!
When some of the overenthusiastic TV artistes threw stones on the Channel, cases were booked against them by our police. When one local minister concerned was requested to drop the cases after the ‘strike’ and protest was withdrawn it is rumoured that our Omega Star ensured from Dilli that cases were not dropped!
So much for love of Telugu. You know what they love. Lucre. It’s all about money honey!
Here is something for the youngsters from SA region who want a Samaikya state ought to know about their leaders and their interests.
It’s economics stupid. Love for the language and love for the people is a big sham. Telugu pride, anyone?
And whatever happened to all the Andhra – Jyotis, Patrikas, Prabhas did they highlight the issue? Nope sir. It was relegated to the margins. How come? How come it never became a topic worth exploring in the ‘morning’ shows or the evening shows in the Channels who shed crocodile years about ‘breaking of AP’? And their love of Telugu Jaati? Speak about hypocrisy! Their cries about loss of jobs sounds hollow. Here is how the channels owned by who’s who of Andhra and mostly those who cry hoarse about Telugu exploit and take away the livelihoods of Telugus.
These channel folks know which side of their bread is buttered. They know whom to butter. They are for bread, butter and jam. Not for any language or anything like that. Leave alone livelihoods of common people!
Now that is a living and glaring LIE facing Monsier Parakala , TGV and others who beat their chests for Telugu unity and the benefits that come by living under one umbrella!
VMS can try to create some rallies in Hyderabad and wax eloquent about Teluguness. Telugu jaati samaikya vaadulu where were you when such injustice to Telugu TV industry and the people dependent on the industry was being forced?
1200 livelihoods dependent on Telugu TV industry do not matter?
You folks sound so bloody hollow! You and your phony Teluguness! Where is Telugu Bhasha Prasad? Can’t move his bulk? Where is Jagadapati who sheds crocodile tears often! Where is our Samaikya Andhra JAC? And the multiple ‘Acharyas’? And where was our Voosaravelli? Everyone seems to be busy protecting the real estate interests of the ‘Telugu’ brothers in and around Hyderabad!
We know who you are and what your interests are. We know you care two hoots to some 1000 livelihoods of common and small people. Your Telugu people owned Maas TV’s and Tamil owned Gemini TV’s care a hoot for Telugu language and Telugu people, while they dare not do the same thing in Tamil Nadu or even in Karnataka!
So much for your love for Telugu and Telugu people. You sound so hollow as hollow as your slogans of Samaikyandhra!
We in Telangana understand what it means to lose a livelihood, because we faced it at your hands for 6 decades.
So stop this nonsense of Teluguness, you folks do not mean it. It us a SHAM and a shame!
