True to his belief that if the poor and needy are supported, they would work wonders, Minister Mr K T Rama Rao spent his personal money funding the education of a girl who bagged five job offers from multi-national companies at a time.
One Rudra Rachana, daughter of Bhumeswar and Mamatha lost her parents at a young age.
She was admitted to Balasadan where she completed her SSC. The then collector MR Sharath helped her get admission into the polytechnic college at Yousuguda.
She then came back to her sister at Kathalapur mandal Tandrya. Her brother-in-law Sekhar posted on Twitter about her achievement and how she got a good rank in ECET.
On coming to know of the news, Minister Mr K T Rama Rao adopted the girl and funded her B Tech education with his personal money. She worked hard and proved herself now securing five job offers.
However, she said she would not immediately join any job but try to fulfill her mother’s dream of seeing her as a collector. She thanked Mr K T Rama Rao and said with his help she would fulfill the dream of her mother.
On Monday, a host of public representatives – Jagitial Zilla Parishan chairperson Dava Vasantha, MLA Sanjay Kumar, Markfed chairman Bapu Reddy, and others felicitated the girl on her achievement.
Speaking on the occasion, girl Rachana said it was her parents who her birth, and Mr KTR gave her rebirth.
