It was in Khammam district, that the 1969 Telangana agitation was born. And today, many people who attended the meeting reminded the crowds that Khammam us yet again going to play a pivotal role in the statehood struggle.
The meeting held at Pavilion Grounds in Khammam town was attended by Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram, TRS LP leader Eetela Rajender, New Democracy leaders Suryam and Rangarao.
TRS supremo, KCR was supposed to attend this meeting, but could not attend, as he was down with Viral fever.
