Showing excellent performance, the state police secured second and third position in a survey at the national level. The survey was conducted by the central government through some private agencies.
In categories of showing in discharge of their duties, they were rated as second in the country. In terms of honesty and public image, they were rated as third best in the country. These details were released by the Union Home ministry on Friday.
Responding on the ranks, DGP Anjani Kumar said the all the police stations are doing very best in terms of friendly policing, women safety, crime control among others.
He said the department was getting good support from the state government in acquiring all new gadgets and logistics in cracking the crime within hours.
