Telangana government is to improve 9,000 schools in the first phase.

The cabinet sub-committee that was constituted to oversee another flagship program of state government under “Mana Ooru Mana Badi” has identified 12 basic needs of schools.
It has decided to take up work providing these 12 basic requirements in 9,000 schools with Rs 3,497 crore in the first phase.
There are 26,065 government schools in the state and the ruling TRS government came up with a massive plan to overhaul them and also introduce English medium in all schools. It is a very ambitious program that will be implemented in a phased manner.
The IT minister Mr KTR gave a call to people to contribute their might towards the successful implementation of the programme. During his recent US tour also he appealed to NRIs hailing from Telangana to adopt their schools. The state government would reward them by naming the school, classroom and laboratory after them in return.
The state government wants to convert the schools on par with corporate schools and also provide English medium to prepare the rural children for all competitive examinations.
Of late, CM KCR has been coming up with more schemes on education and health, a happy trend ever experienced by people in this most oppressed state both by Nizam rulers and Andhra rulers. This explains what happens if separate Telangana forms.
