Chidambaram’s latest comments in Lok Sabha made the TDP leaders run for cover. Chandrababu Naidu, who was caught pants down, hurriedly convened a meeting of party seniors and discussed about how to contain the damage.
After the meeting, Naidu gave a press release clarifying that he had never met Chidamabaram over the Telangana issue.
But there is irrefutable circumstantial evidence that Naidu had in fact met Home Minister P.Chidambaram. First, we have the Srikrishna Committee’s secret chapter which advised the Union Government to enter into an understanding with Chandrababu Naidu and prevent him from attending any all-party meeting on Telangana. Second, we have confirmed information that Chandrababu went missing for one hour on 9th August 2011 in Delhi. Adding these two bits of evidence clearly proves that Naidu and Chidambaram did meet over the Telangana issue.
The situation of Telangana TDP leaders turned from bad to worse with Chidambaram’s latest revelation. They are cursing Chidambaram for leaking such damaging information at this crucial juncture. The T-TDP leaders admit that the latest crisis will lead to a further deterioration of their party’s situation in Telangana.
