Noted Bollywood director Subhash Ghai envinced interest to establish a film institute in Telangana, akin to his Mumbai-based Whistling Woods Film Institute. He called on IT minister KT Rama Rao here on Monday. Rama Rao apprised Ghai about the government’s grand proposal to build a film city in Rachakonda, on the suburbs of Hyderabad city. Appreciating the efforts of the state government to give fillip to the entertainment industry, Ghai promised to improve the standards of the local industry through his Muktha Arts.
The minister also invited Ghai to partner with the state government in its proposal to build a gaming city in Hyderabad. On its successful completion, KTR said the gaming city would provide services in graphics and content development areas, he added.
He specifically told Ghai the need to promote the local youth in new entertainment ventures.
