For the first time in the history of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), the state government has declared that 20 per cent of the profits of SCCL will be paid to workers. When a team of peoples’ representatives from Karimnagar called on chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he declared that 20 per cent of the share in profits of the SCCL would be paid to its workers.
Besides this, Rs 240 crore package as bonus too would be paid to workers on the lines of Coal India. With this, each worker of SCCL will get around Rs 40,000. The amount will be paid on performance-linked bonus system, the chief minister said.
