Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar writes to ECI against BJP leader Raghunandan Rao

Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar lodged a formal complaint against Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao, the BJP candidate from Medak Parliamentary Constituency, for making derogatory remarks against former minister Harish Rao and BRS Medak MP candidate P Venkatram Reddy.

In the detailed complaint submitted to the Election Commission, Chinta Prabhakar highlighted the offensive language used by Raghunandan Rao against BRS party leader T Harish Rao and Venkaram Reddy. The complaint outlined specific instances where Raghunandan Rao allegedly made disparaging remarks and publicly threatening physical violence. These comments, as stated in the complaint, were not only insulting but also potentially incendiary, with the threat of a face-off at a public junction.

Moreover, the complaint pointed out that such remarks not only violate ethical standards but also breach the Model Code of Conduct established by the Election Commission of India. It referenced recent guidelines issued by the Election Commission warning against hate speeches and emphasizing the need for dignified campaigning based on policies and past records rather than personal attacks.

Urging the authorities to take immediate action, he asserted that allowing such behavior would not only be unjust but also pose a threat to the democratic process and societal harmony.
