Revanth Reddy flip-flops yet again on Rythu Bandhu

It appears that CM Revanth Reddy’s flip-flops on the Rythu Bandhu scheme are never-ending. Over the past 75 days, he has changed his statements regarding its disbursement at least five times.

During the Assembly election campaign, Revanth Reddy emphasized implementing the Rythu Bharosa scheme from December 9, well before the commencement of Yasangi crop works. Exactly one month after assuming office as CM, he claimed that the government had already disbursed the Rythu Bandhu amount on December 9.

On January 25, he reversed his statement, stating that the Rythu Bandhu amount would be deposited by the end of February. Then, on February 21, he set a new deadline of March 15.

In the latest development on February 26, Revanth extended the deadline to March 31, possibly aligning it with the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the Lok Sabha elections.

Although the Congress party pledged to implement Rythu Bharosa, providing input assistance of Rs. 15,000 per acre to farmers, it continued with the previous government’s Rythu Bandhu for this season. While the previous government completed the total disbursement process in less than 30 days, the Congress government seems to be taking eternity.

Shockingly, even ministers are making derogatory comments and threatening those who question the government about Rythu Bandhu.
