Revanth eyes 50k acres of farmers land to create another city near Rachakonda

TPCC President Revanth Reddy has announced his plans to construct another city like Andhra Pradesh’s Amaravathi near Rachakonda in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Participating in a roundtable organised by a national news channel, Revanth revealed his plan.

According to Revanth, 50,000 acres of land can be easily pooled from the people to create a fourth city after Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad in the capital city region of Telangana. Revanth made it clear that he is taking inspiration from his guru Chandrababu Naidu’s pet project Amaravathi. He asserts that the new city will compete with global cities.

However, what Revanth misses is Amaravathi is a failed project and the land pooling concept adopted there was landed in many controversies. Many political observers even point out that Revanth’s plan to grab such huge chunk of land might be the reason for his strong opposition to the Dharani portal. The portal made the life tough for the land grabbers by making land records digital and safe.

Now, the onus is on the Congress party to clarify it to the people whether the land pooling plan is Revanth’s personal idea or is it a part of the party’s agenda for Telangana.
