The Chief Minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao knew well the designs of the BJP government and warned the farmers not to sow paddy this time.
But the BJP leaders Bandi Sanjay and G Kishan Reddy provoked farmers to grow paddy and pledged to convince the central government to procure the same. But they utterly failed. Those who grew paddy are in dilemma now. Who is responsible for this state of affairs? Mr KTR sought to know.
He wanted the people to question the BJP leaders who promised to ensure paddy procurement by the central government. In his Twitter message, the minister reminded that the Bandi Sanjay on September 29, 2021 said he will take responsibility for paddy procurement. On December 1, 2021, Mr G Kishan Reddy said the entire paddy will be procured by the Central government. On April 1, 2022, union agricultural minister Mr Piyush Goyal said they will not procure boiled rice and said he cannot help in this issue.
Mr Bandi Sanjay accused the ruling TRS government of politicising the paddy procurement issue. He should now come out clear on this statement.
Mr KTR said: “This is the issue of paddy procurement but the issue of self-respect. Why should the central government discriminate against Telangana and its farmers”.
On April 9, 2022, Mr Bandi Sanjay said the central government is ready to buy every grain from the Telangana farmers. What has happened people now know, Mr KTR pointed out.
The discriminatory attitude of the BJP government drove the farmers onto the roads now and they are ready to protest even in New Delhi to highlight their issue.
