Andhra Pradesh’s last formation day witnessed a series of protest programs by Telangana activists.
The official celebration program at Hyderabad itself turned lackluster with people staying away and empty chairs greeting CM Kiran Kumar Reddy.
The mood in the state was aptly reflected when CM himself remarked that this might become the last ‘formation day’ for Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana JAC leaders and other activists assembled at Gun Park in large numbers to protest the Betrayal Day. Addressing the activists, Prof Kodandaram said that every activist should be alert until the statehood bill is passed. He said this would be the last Betrayal Day.
Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha said even though this is the last Betrayal Day, Nov 1st would always be remembered by Telanganites as a Dark Day.
TGO leader Srinivas Goud, TDF India President DP Reddy, Addanki Dayakar and others participated in the protest.
