In a shocking incident, the Narketpally police detained BRS Party leader Madagoni Ramesh Goud allegedly for posting a video of BRS Working President KTR as his WhatsApp status.
Irked by the video, a local Congress leader Vadde Bhupal Reddy, who is a close aide of Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, informed the police to detain him. Narketpally SI Anthi Reddy called Goud to the police station and severely tortured him allegedly by slashing him with a leather belt.
On receiving the information through the BRS Party Legal Cell, former MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah raised the issue with higher authorities. However, Anthi Reddy didn’t budge and reportedly abused KTR and warned of dire consequences.
Previously, the same SI was transferred and attached to VR because of his alleged involvement in illegal sand transfer. Recently, after the Congress party assumed power, Reddy was posted as Narketpally SI.
