New compensation announced to those who die of wild animal attacks

The Telangana state government has decided to increase compensation from Rs. 5 to Rs. 10 lakh to those who die of attacks from wild animals. It may be noted that tigers killed many farmers in Telangana in the recent past.

There has been movement of tiger and wild boars in the state and they prey on people abutting the wild environs where they habitat.

Forest minister Indrakaran Reddy after a review meeting said the state government reconstituted the state wildlife board and has recommended enhanced compensation to those killed by the wild animal attacks in rural parts of the state.
