The TRS government believes that social media is an important medium to reach out to the people and inform them about its services, Mr KT Rama Rao said.
Taking part in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Koo, India’s multi-lingual social media platform, the minister said by collaborating with Koo, they hope to reach out to many in rural areas in the local language besides promoting the language and culture.
Koo has decided to set up its development centre in Hyderabad as it has a sound ecosystem and a large number of IT experts.
Koo CEO and co-founder Mr Aprameya Radhakrishna said language-based social media is very important in a country like India where people speak different languages. He said they feel proud to have their centre in Hyderabad which is the destination for many multi-national IT and ITES companies.
