Alpla, a global leader in plastic rigid packaging which has a strong presence in 47 countries across the world, has made the current facility in Hyderabad one of its Top-15 out of its 177 plants worldwide.
Alpla India has invested Rs 60 crores in the tool room and Rs 10 crores in the dual education center, taking its total investment to Rs 600 Cr in #Telangana. The facility has been set up in partnership with the Dept. of Technical Education, Govt. of Telangana, and CII Telangana.
Ambassador of Austria, Katherina Vizer, Alpla CEO Philip Lehern, MD Vagish Dikshit, and minister Mr K T Rama Rao inaugurated the facility at Pashamylaram in Sangareddy district.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Katherian Vizer said the bilateral relation between India and Austria are good, and the setting up of Alpla in Hyderabad city is an example. She said was visiting the city for the second time and found that it was better suited to the needs of students. The dual education centre serves them better, she hoped.
The company CEO Mr Philiph Lehern said he found many global giants established their centres in Hyderabad city. Their dual education centre would help many youth get jobs in multi-national companies with the skills they offer to the students. It was all possible with the proactive help extended by the Telangana government, he said.
IT minister Mr Rama Rao said the state witnessed five revolutions within short period of formation of the new state in sectors such as agricultural, milk, irrigation, greenery, among others. The government is now focusing on setting up or encouraging more food processing units across the state. It was also decided to increase oil palm cultivation to 15 percent in the state.
It was all possible due to the vision and hard work of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who turned around the back ward Telangana into a top state in all terms, he said.
