Telangana IT minister Mr K T Rama Rao once again urged the central government to sanction Information Technology and Investment Region (ITIR) project.
Speaking at the two-day e-governance conference, he also appealed to the central government to sanction an electronic manufacturing cluster and Indian Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) for Hyderabad city.
Mr Rama Rao pointed out that in 2012-2013, the ITIR was sanctioned to Hyderabad but unfortunately the successive government at the Centre scrapped it.
He explained that in 2013-2014, IT and ITES exports were Rs 57,000 crore and it is now Rs 1.45 lakh crore till June 2020. Taking this development into consideration, he requested the union minister Mr Jitendra Singh to re-think about sanctioning the ITIR project to Hyderabad city that would help bring in more development and more employment to youth in the country.
