IT and Industries Minister KTR inaugurated the IndiaJoy – Asia’s Biggest Digital Entertainment Festival happening in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Mr. Biren Ghose Country Head-Technicolor India, Chairman-CIl National AVGC Sub Committee, Mr. Sai Srinivas, Co-Founder & CEO – Mobile Premier League, Actor Sudheer Babu, Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Rajiv Chilakalapudi CEO, Green Gold Animation & other dignitaries were present.
Minister KTR said, “The IMAGE (Innovation in Multimedia, Animation, Gaming & Entertainment) sector is one which has been able to ride over the pandemic-created uncertainties with lots of resilience and innovation.”
Telangana is one of the major contributors of VFX outsourcing to Hollywood & regional film markets thanks to its most comprehensive VFX ecosystem comprising 20 academies creating world-class talent pools & 40+ VFX production houses employing about 30,000 resources.
Hyderabad based Gaming companies have also made the best of the new market opportunities created during the pandemic. 45 companies have chosen Hyderabad as their destination in the gaming sector in the last two years taking the total to 80 gaming companies in Hyderabad.
