“Telangana Poru Yatra” launched by CPI in Palvancha yesterday,  got tremendous response from the people of Khammam district. Palvancha, Kothagudem and Khammam towns were painted in red by the CPI cadre.

The Yatra was started by CPI state secretary K. Narayana after garlanding Telangana Talli and Ambedkar statues in Palvancha town. Later addressing a public meeting K. Narayana severaly castigated the Congress party for cheating the Telangana people. He said that the people of Telangana would thrash the Congress leaders if the party doesn’t keep up its word on statehood.

Narayana said that the Congress party was deliberately postponing its decision citing lack of consensus. He said there can never be consensus on any matter in a democracy. He reminded how the ruling UPA government bulld0zed its way even though there was no consensus on the Indo-US Nuclear deal.

Narayana also said CPI is the only party which has taken a clear stand on Telangana issue in both regions of the state.
