Corporate level medical care in Telangana government hospitals.

State Health Minister Harish Rao inaugurated a 100-bed ICU ward at Niloufar Hospital in Hyderabad.  He  visited the wards of the children and asked the parents of the children how the children get treatment, what diseases they have contracted and whether they get meals in time.   The Telangana government is providing oxygen to every bed.  Each hospital will set up its own oxygen generation plants.   He said that as per the instructions of CM KCR who aims to further strengthen the medical sector, the health department would be strengthened in the coming days at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore.  The government had prepared 5,000 beds specifically for children in the wake of Third Wave estimates.  The CM has released Rs 133 crore for the purpose. Very soon another 800 beds will be made available in Niloufar at a cost of Rs 33 crore.  Minister Harish Rao speaking qbout an increase in deliveries in government hospitals due to KCR Kit and other government initiatives, said maternal deaths have dropped significantly.  “We are setting up four medical institutes on all four sides of the city and 8 more medical colleges will be available soon,” he said.  The Minister said that steps are being taken to ensure corporate medicine in government hospitals.
