CM Mr KCR holds a marathon review on the rain situation in the state.

The chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao who held a review meeting for about 12 hours with the officials instructed them to release water from projects as they flow into them to avoid any untoward incident.

In view of the rising level of rive Godavari at Bhadrachalam, he asked minister P Ajay Kumar to stay put in the town overseeing the situation. He wanted officials to make available NDRF teams, rescue teams, and rehabilitation measures,

Within 24 hours three warnings were issued at Bhadrachalam as the river Godavari witnessed an unusual rise in the level of 53 feet flow due to heavy rains in the upper regions.

Already red alert was issued in eight districts of the state. The state so far witnessed rains 15 times so far and 19 cm more than normal.

The CM asked medical personnel to be available for any emergency duties. He also appealed to people to cooperate with the officials on emergency duties and listen to their advice without any hesitation.

Mr KCR also instructed all the officials, MLAs, and ministers not to move out of their respective constituencies

Control rooms were set up at the secretariat with two telephone numbers and those in need may call 79979 59705 and 79975 0008. Three officers were posted in three shits to receive calls and respond accordingly.
