Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who complained of discomfort was shifted to Yashoda hospital at Somajiguda. After the tests, the doctors declared that he is in good health but had small discomfort.
His personal physician Mr M V Rao said the chief minister complained of pain in his left hand and left leg in the early hours. As a precautionary measure, he was taken to the hospital. There they conducted an angiogram and CT scan and found the reports to be normal.
The doctors said the chief minister is busy these days and might be irregular in his diet intake and consuming water from different places. Also as he spends a lot of time reading, his neck spine was strained a little. He needs weekdays of rest before he resumes his work. There is nothing to worry about, the doctors said.
Learning about his hospitalisation, scores of leaders and the general public reached the hospital and police had a tough time controlling crowds.
It may be noted that the Mr KCR not only toured various states but was also touring various districts during the past few days taking part in the inauguration of new collectorate offices and addressing public meetings.
The doctors said he is in perfect health and discomfort was due to age-related problems. They advised him to undergo some physiotherapy and sport the neck back for some time to overcome the pain.
Usually, the chief minister undergoes regular medical checks every February and maintains a perfect daily routine. Following heavy work in the recent past, he developed few complications. The party leaders and general public heaved a sigh of relief after the doctors addressed the media about his health condition.
Mr KCR was discharged from the hospital around 2.30 pm.
All his family members – son Mr KT Rama Rao, daughter K Kavitha, other relatives, and some important party leaders were present.
