CM KCR holds a review meeting on the rain situation.

 

Chief Minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed Chief Secretary Mr Somesh Kumar to alert all the departments concerned and take quick safety measures in the wake of incessant rains in the State. He wanted the chief secretary to hold video conferences with district Collectors and instruct them to put the NDRF and rescue teams on alert.

 

 

CM has said that he will continuously monitor the situation in the State and will hold video conferences on Saturday or Sunday in view of IMD issuing a red alert for Telangana and Maharashtra.

 

 

CM KCR urged the Ministers, MPs, MLAs, local body representatives, and other public representatives to be on alert and help people by participating in relief operations and ensuring that no loss of life or property takes place.

 

 

CM appealed to people to not take any risk and urged them not to venture out of their homes unless there is an emergency.

 

 

In the wake of heavy inflows and floods to River Godavari and Pranahitha, the chief minister has exhorted the State Irrigation officials to be on high alert and take necessary steps.

 

 

Following heavy rains, the chief minister has decided to defer the “Revenue Awareness Programme” with Ministers, MLAs, and Collectors scheduled to be organized at Pragati Bhavan on July 11. The state-wide Revenue Meetings to be held from July 15 also stand postponed.
