CM Holds Meet With Representatives of 364 Seed Companies

Reiterating his commitment to transform the state into seed bowl of the country, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao has said the government will soon finalise the programme by which seed companies will adopt villages for the purpose.

He was speaking at a meeting held with the representatives of 364 seed companies here on Monday to chalk out the plan for taking the initiative forward. Rao said Telangana offered a conducive atmosphere for production of a wide variety of seeds required across the country.

He asked officials of agriculture, revenue and marketing departments to work in tandem to enable farmers reap benefits at the end of every cropping season.
