Central government action unjustified, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy.



Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said they were visiting Delhi only to demand the Central government to enhance paddy procurement in Telangana state.
He said the centre gave a target of 42 lakh metric tonnes but they are asking for procurement of 60 lakh metric tonnes.
Mr Niranjan Reddy said they were against politicising the issue but are deeply concerned about farmers. The farmers are yet to complete the rainy season crop and much of the produce is pending in yards still.
The minister said they were in Delhi to help the poor farmers of Telangana by pressuring the centre.
Ministers Mr Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Jagdish Reddy and others were present.
