The BRS Party has staged protests across the state against the Congress government’s change of stance on the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS). Earlier, in opposition, the Congress party vehemently opposed the LRS scheme introduced by the Telangana government.
Congress leaders assured that upon assuming power, they would regularize the layouts for free. However, they have now reneged on their promise. Protesting this decision, the BRS is accusing the Congress government of intending to fleece at least Rs. 20,000 crores from the public through LRS fees.
The BRS Party is demanding that the Congress government implement the LRS scheme free of cost as promised.
