BRS MLAs are planning to request Speaker Prasad Kumar to disqualify Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, who defected from the party. Today, a BRS delegation will head to the Speaker’s residence in Hyderguda, Hyderabad, to hand over a disqualification petition regarding Nagender’s defection.
Previously, BRS MLAs attempted to meet with the Speaker on Sunday regarding the same matter, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Despite securing an appointment at 6 pm, the Speaker was not at home, leaving MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy, Maganti Gopinath, Kaleru Venkatesh, Mutha Gopal, and Bandaru Lakshma Reddy waiting for hours.
Despite multiple attempts to reach the Speaker, they received no response and ultimately had to leave. Padi Kaushik Reddy expressed disappointment that they couldn’t meet the Speaker as planned.
