BJP Telangana Poru Yatra – Day 6

BJP’s Telangana Poru Yatra entered into Medak district on the sixth day. The first meeting was held at Patancheru. The whole town wore a festive look. Thousands of BJP workers especially students and young workers took out a bike rally and took the yatra ratham all through the town.

After hoisting two flags, the ratham reached the meeting spot.

Speaking at the meeting, Kishan Reddy said that it is Congress party that is responsible for the death of 750 students. He said Yadi Reddy committed suicide in front of the Parliament for the cause of Telangana. In his suicide note, Yadi Reddy asked Sonia, Manmohan and Chandrababu to grant Telangana at least after seeing his dead body. Still Sonia and Manmohan Singh did not relent. He said that it would be death knell to the Congress if they do not give Telangana now.

“Chandra Babu did not bother to visit even one Telangana martyr’s body, yet he has now taken up a Rythu Yatra”, criticized Kishan Reddy.

He said that it is only after Chandrababu naidu’s overnight shift in Telangana stand that the Congress Government went back on its word.

Later in the day, he addressed a huge gathering at Sangareddy. TNGO leader Swamy Goud attended the meeting and has expressed the solidarity to the yatra. Kishan Reddy while addressing the meeting said that it is Sushma Swaraj of BJP who has for the first time mentioned the Telangana issue in Parliament. He said that Sushma Swaraj is born in Haryana and is an MP form Madhya Pradesh but still is fighting for the cause of 4 crore Telangana people.

The yatra proceeded to Sadasivapet where another impressive meeting was held. Kishan Reddy said that in spite of an unprecedented strike of 42 days, in which all the sections of Telangana to participated, the Congress Government did not relent.

Later during the day, Kishan Reddy addressed a meeting at Zaheerabad. Huge crowds attended the meeting. Kishan Reddy said that Chandrababu has sold away the sugar factory at Zaheerabad during his Government that made many farmers losing their life line and many employees losing jobs. Local JAC leaders and also leaders from Karnataka attended the meeting.
