Cases will be lifted in phased manner: Sabitha

Coming under severe criticism by Telangana activists for not lifting the cases filed against students during the Telangana agitation, state Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy once again assured to lift cases filed against activists during the Telangana agitation.

Sabita was in Nizamabad district to inaugurate a police station in Renjal.

“About 600 cases were lifted so far. The process was delayed as the State Government is pursuing the issue case-by-case. There will be no delay if legal hurdles get cleared. The SPs concerned will take the decisions. The legal process in this regard is going on at brisk pace,” Sabitha said.

She said students named in Telangana agitation related cases need to worry and told them to prepare for sub-inspector and constable recruitment test.
