Popular film actor Suman stated that he would fully support TRS Party to retain power in Telangana. “I pray to God that KCR becomes Chief Minister of Telangana State again,” he declared. Interacting with media persons after inaugurating a Karate Championship on Sunday at Vishakhapatnam, Suman said that CM KCR’s role in Telangana statehood struggle is historic. He added that he would support TRS in ensuing elections as Telangana had been developed a lot under KCR’s rule in the last four and half years.

GHMC prepares for Ganesh immersion day
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is gearing up for the smooth conduct of Ganesh idol immersion across Hyderabad on September 23 and 24. Over 12,000 idols are expected to be immersed at Hussain Sagar Lake. GHMC officials informed that nearly 70,000 lights are being provided for illumination; works on re-carpeting of roads and pothole repairs have been completed on 80 km stretch along Ganesh immersion procession routes; expert swimmers are being deployed with 10 special boats; 117 static cranes and 150 mobile cranes will be placed across the water bodies; 38 firefighting vehicles will be stationed along the procession routes for emergencies.

Ameerpet-L.B.Nagar metro service from 24th September 2018
Ameerpet to LB Nagar line of Hyderabad Metro Rail will be opened on 24th September. The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) issued the safety certificate for commencement of passenger train operations on this stretch after extensive tests and trial runs for the last few months. IT Minister KT Rama Rao met Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and invited him to flag off the Metro line. Hyderabad Metro Rail officials announced that the 16 new stations between Ameerpet and L.B. Nagar, would be available for the public within hours of the Governor flagging off the operations. It takes take 52 minutes to cover 29-km Miyapur-L.B. Nagar stretch – by road, it takes two hours.

Huge response for voters enrolment in Telangana
Wide-spread awareness campaigns conducted by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana proved to be very helpful. The special voters’ enrolment drive in Telangana drew a huge response from all sections of the society as over 17 lakh applications have been received in the first five days of the drive. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI), citizens who are 18 years old as on January 1, 2018, are eligible for the enrolment. September 25 is the deadline for the revision of electoral rolls in view of the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.

September 16, 2018:
TRS is going to sweep in Telangana: AAj Tak-India Today survey
The Aaj Tak-India Today pre-poll survey handed out a healthy 43 percent vote share to the ruling TRS party. The survey results reveal that the people of Telangana are very happy with the performance of the KCR-led government in the past four-and-half years.

The survey predicts that the TRS will be ahead in vote share by 9 percent since 2014 (TRS vote share in 2014 was 34 percent). Compared to the TRS, the Congress party vote share has dropped from 26 percent in 2014 to 18 percent.

TRS will win at least 80 seats: VDP Associates Survey
According to the survey carried out by VDP Associates, a polling agency which studies electoral trends in India, the TRS party is going to claim at least 80 seats in the coming Assembly elections in Telangana. The Congress party is expected to get just 20 seats. The BJP would get 7 seats while the MIM would retain its 8. Others would account for 4 seats. Interestingly, VDP Associates is the same polling agency which conducted a prepoll survey and predicted a landslide victory for TRS party in GHMC elections in 2016.

Telanganaku Haritha Haram: Three Forest Blocks in Hyderabad
Telangana State government accorded administrative sanction to GHMC for the development of three forest blocks in Hyderabad.

Under the ‘Telanganaku Haritha Haram’ campaign, the state government had allocated 129 forest blocks within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits to different departments for taking up works. Of these 129 blocks, three blocks, including Borampet, Ramaram and Suraram (one cluster), Nadergul I and II and Madannaguda were allocated to GHMC for development. Now that the government has sanctioned permission, GHMC is preparing conceptual plans for executing the works.

While participating in a discussion on ‘Minority Welfare’, AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was all praise for CM KCR for Telangana government’s initiatives regarding minority welfare. He said, “Never before has any political party in undivided Andhra Pradesh been so liberal and never before has any Chief Minister been so benevolent towards minority welfare. Former Assembly Speaker and senior Congress leader KR Suresh Reddy who joined TRS party in the presence of TRS senior leaders at Telangana Bhavan said that he is joining a party of the future. He further added that he would act as a link between the people and the government and help it make Telangana even better. Congress, TDP and CPI hold talks for a grand alliance
TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, T-TDP chief L. Ramana, CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy and senior leaders of the three parties held talks in Hyderabad to hear the views of all the parties on grand alliance for upcoming assembly elections. Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) president M. Kodandaram and the other TJS leaders are likely to participate in the next round of talks which will be held in a couple of days.

Lingampally railway station in is going to be the next important terminal station after Secunderabad
South Central Railway (SCR) is improving infrastructure at Lingampalli Railway Station to provide rail connectivity to Lingampally. This will help in decongesting Secunderabad station. Four express trains, including Narayanadri Express have been extended to Lingampally and more trains will be extended as SCR strengthens the infrastructure. It is a big boon for people living in and around Hi-Tec City, Gachibowli and environs as they need not travel long distances to catch a long-distance trains.

Congress leader and former Sangareddy MLA T. Jagga Reddy arrested in passport scam
Hyderabad Police arrested former MLA from Sangareddy and Congress leader T. Jagga Reddy for his involvement in alleged passport scam in 2004. He is being questioned in this regard. Police said they had information that Jagga Reddy trafficked three persons from Hyderabad to America. Jaggareddy had allegedly obtained passports in the name of his wife, daughter and son and later affixed the photographs of other people, obtained VISA and took them to the USA.

Two sentenced to death in 2007 Hyderabad twin blasts case
Two people were sentenced to death in the 2007 Hyderabad twin blasts case by a special court in the Cherlapally Central Prison in the Hyderabad. Third convict in the case was sentenced to life imprisonment. On August 25, 2007, 44 people were killed and 68 injured in the blasts when two improvised explosive devices exploded in the laser show in Lumbini Park and at Gokul Chat Bhandar, in Koti.

Demand for clay Ganesh idols in Hyderabad is at its peak

Village adopted a unanimous resolution to vote for TRS
Residents of Vangapalli village in Huzurabad Assembly constituency adopted a unanimous resolution to vote en bloc for the TRS party in the upcoming assembly elections. They thanked KCR for renominating Minister for Finance Etela Rajender as the MLA candidate for their constituency. Villagers said that they are firm on endorsing their support to TRS Government as their community needs had been fully met.

Senior leaders from major political parties participated in a panel discussion as a part of A two-day leadership summit of the Indian School of Business (ISB). Two Telangana irrigation structures recognised by International Organisation
Two historical irrigation structures of Telangana, Sadarmatt Anicut in Nirmal district and Pedda Cheruvu Irrigation Tank in Kamareddy district were included in the prestigious list of World Heritage Irrigation Structures (WHIS), maintained by the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID). These two projects, the first entrants from India, are among the 14 irrigation structures which were added to the list during the 69th International Executive Council (IEC) of ICID, held in Saskatoon, Canada.

Startup India Telangana Yatra by TSIC from September 15
To promote entrepreneurship and startup culture in Tier-II and III cities in the state, the Telangana State Innovation Cell (TSIC) is launching the ‘Startup India Telangana Yatra’ from September 15. Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao will kick start the event from Hyderabad. TSRTC is using latest technology for its efficient functioning
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is using latest technology to increase mileage and minimize the accident rates and trying to increase the turnover of the corporation. Recently, TSRTC has developed a new online system to ease the hassles of booking a bus on contract.
