Telangana’s highly regarded NIMS hospital has now opened a new Oncology Centre for its patients.
Ministers Laxma Reddy and KT Rama Rao inaugurated an Oncology Centre at NIMS hospital in Hyderabad today.
Talking at the event, Minister Laxma Reddy highlighted the various health policies taken up by the Government of Telangana. Minister complimented the staff at NIMS for providing health facilities on par with corporate hospitals.
The 50-bed facility is developed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore by Megha Engineering Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) and is equipped with ultra-modern facilities.
Speaking after the inaugural event, Minister KT Rama Rao said, “Revolutionary changes took place in public health sector in recent times.” Minister praised MEIL management for developing the Oncology Centre at NIMS.
The facility has five beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 12 beds for men, 10 beds for women, 11 beds for children and 12 beds have been set aside for a specialty leukemia ward.
The 18,000 sft completely air-conditioned centre also has an exclusive Oncology Critical Care Unit (OCCU).
Megha Engineering Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) Chairman P P Reddy and Managing Director Krishna Reddy were the other dignitaries who participated in the inaugural event.
