Vision Telangana Association DC Chapter hosted noted RTI activist Rakesh Dubbudu, who is on a short visit to US. The interactive session with Rakesh, was very informative and every participant understood the most powerful weapon i.e. ‘Right to Access to Information’ called ‘Right To Information (RTI) ‘act which was enacted as an Act in 2005.
Earlier Ramana Kanchetty welcomed the gathering, Vijay Chatla and Jagadeesh Bondugula have explained the VTA vision and goals and its alignment with RTI movement i.e. empowering the people with information. Madhu Bellam introduced Rakesh Reddy Dubbudu and explained his brief background.
Rakesh presented RTI history, its achievements, how it can be used by all Indians living in India and outside India. Rakesh patiently answered all the questions that participants had. Audience were very impressed with him and his passion towards social service at this young age.
Shri Janaradhan Reddy Janumpally, Smt. Vasudhara also and Shri Santosh Vemula also spoke on this occasion. Several VTA volunteers and scores of other local intellectuals – Pavan Girla, Srinivas Vippa, Sreedhar Reddy Mogulla, Pavan Kondapally, Hari Kancharla, Venu Nakshathram, Sreedhar Maram, Ram Reddy Jakka, Sreedhar Sammidi, Sudhir R Damidi, Sudheer Kodem, Gopal Reddy, Santosh Reddy SomiReddy, Goverdhan Tokala, Aditya, Sri Rao, Amarendra Reddy Bondugula etc have actively participated in this interactive session and expressed their views as well.
