Telangana Joint Action Committee wrote an open letter to all Telangana peoples’ representatives to utilize the presidential elections for exerting pressure on the UPA government over the statehood issue.
After releasing the letter to media at TJAC office, Prof Kodandaram, the TJAC chairman urged the public representatives of the region to come together and utilise their vote power in an effective way.
“After the Centre’s announcement about Telangana on December 9, 2009, all the Seemandhra politicians, cutting across party lines became united and faxed their resignations to the Speaker. This same sort of unity was not to be seen in our leaders, which is very difficult to understand,” he said.
